About ASAC – Area Substance Abuse Council – Maquoketa
ASAC – Area Substance Abuse Council is a private non-profit organization providing mental health and substance abuse services in Maquoketa, Iowa. They provide outpatient programs including an intensive outpatient program and a partial hospitalization program for adults and adolescents.
Outpatient treatment services are self-paced and based on individual needs and assessment recommendations. Group sessions are offered at varying times throughout the week. Specific programs and groups are available for men and women, culture, and substances. Gambling disorder assessments are also given at this facility.
The SETH program is the strength, empower, and teen health program. This program treats teens 13 through 18. This program runs Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. It empowers teens with substance abuse issues to learn new skills in an effort to promote health and well-being.
Some former clients have expressed distrust and skepticism about this organization and its programs.
