The Wilford Hall Mental Health Services of 59th Medical Wing of Lackland and Randolph AFB is located in San Antonio, Texas. Services are provided through the military health system. Help is provided to all active duty service members struggling with drugs and alcohol. TRICARE is accepted.

The Alcohol & Drug Abuse Prevention & Treatment program is available at the Wilford Hall for Mental Health Services. A drug and alcohol evaluation will be conducted. You’ll be provided with substance misuse education, prevention and treatment. There are also unit outreach services. Outpatient treatment is available.

They accept three methods of referral. You’re able to attend as a self referral, meaning you self identify as having issues with drugs and/or alcohol. You may also have a commander’s referral or a medical referral. Therapy and medication management is offered. They’re also able to provide neuropsychological testing.

Adult Program

Military Program

Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
