About COPE Community Services – Tucson
COPE Community Services Shepherd House is a residential addiction recovery program for adults in Tucson, Arizona. They offer a highly structured and supportive environment for people who have completed detox or inpatient treatment but who aren’t yet ready to live on their own.
Their recovery residence enables you to develop the life skills you need to maintain your sobriety across the long term. You’ll learn how to manage stress, build healthy relationships, and become accountable to yourself and others. This process will require you to conform to house rules and help with the upkeep of your home and participate in household chores alongside your roommates in recovery. You’ll also be expected to remain active in your treatment program and you may be asked to consent to random drug and alcohol screenings.
In exchange for this you’ll get help with all aspects of your recovery including support with managing your medications, building a healthy and happy sober lifestyle, and developing critical life and job skills. When you leave the recovery residence you’ll also get transitional support to help you reintegrate into your home, workplace, and community.
One of the things that impresses me most about their programs is that you’ll never be turned away because you can’t pay. They accept AHCCCS and Medicare and private insurance. They also have sliding scale payment options based on your income.
