180 Degrees Ministries is a nonprofit Christian organization located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. They provide life coaching and lectures to people with drug and alcohol addiction. Their primary focus is on providing assessments and referring people to treatment facilities.

The people who run this facility are deeply religious and believe that addiction, no matter what type, is never an isolated problem. They believe that you must get to the root of the problem before you can stop participating in destructive behaviors.

They work with people who struggle with substance use disorder, sex addiction and gambling. The counselors here believe that people tell themselves lies, which leads them to addictive behavior. They teach that the tenets of the Christian religion are the truth.

They believe that if you follow the teachings in the Bible you will be able to break bad habits.

The staff will provide an assessment to those who are struggling with addiction. They have staff members who have struggled with addiction themselves. They also have counselors who are members of the National Christian Counselors Association.

The assessment they will give you uses a four-phase model to address your substance use. The counselors developed this tool from personal experience. After an assessment they’ll determine the type of treatment plan they suggest and the length of that plan.

They will always recommend three options. If the first treatment option will not work for you, you can always take the second. They have relationships with many treatment facilities around the country as well in case you need referrals for other services.
