About A New Beginning – Chantilly
A New Beginning is an inpatient detox center and residential rehab in Chantilly, Virginia. It’s a publicly funded treatment center that’s run by the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board as part of the Fairfax County government. Because it’s a public facility they aim to provide affordable treatment to anyone in the service area although they also accept most major insurance plans.
This rehab has a structured program that provides traditional therapies like individual counseling and group counseling. They’ll also provide addiction education to help you better understand addiction and how to combat it. They have family counseling as well to help your family repair relationships that addiction has damaged. But they also have some more unique therapies too like acupuncture and bibliotherapy or book therapy.
A big part of the philosophy in this program is for you to take an active role in your recovery. You identify your own addiction and your needs and you develop your support system and coping skills. They’ll also work with you to address trauma and other psychological issues that could be impacting your addiction and they’ll introduce you to 12 step groups in the area.
Most clients here are happy with the services they provide and say that the staff is caring and kind and that they’re committed to helping clients in their recovery. However, some do mention frustrations with the administrative staff and one client also notes that they don’t provide prescriptions here for medications you’re already taking so for things like blood pressure medicine you should make sure you bring what you need.
