The Acacia Network’s Carlos Pagan Recovery Center is in Brooklyn, New York. The outpatient substance abuse programs are designed for teens and adults. Depending on your needs, your program may entail receiving medicated assisted treatment to help you manage cravings and the harsh symptoms associated with substance abuse detox.
In particular, the residential substance use treatment program for men was a program that helped me understand my addiction tremendously. Through individual and group counseling, I healed my mind and body. This program takes a clinical approach and uses a dialectical behavior therapy phase system. I adapted and applied the knowledge I gained after enrolling in this program, helping me maintain healthy, sober habits. Others found it to be equally beneficial.
