Areta Crowell Center, located in San Diego, California, provides behavioral health care and alcohol and drug rehab services to individuals of all ages through their residential treatment program and their outpatient programs. They also provide support to individuals living with intellectual disabilities.

At Areta Crowell Center tjhe residential program is for individuals age 18 and older who are diagnosed with serious mental illness or substance use disorder. Individuals will engage in mental health counseling, Independent living skill classes, addiction treatment services, psychiatric evaluations, and community-based services. The average length of stay in this program is 12 months.

The outpatient program has two separate components based on a person’s age. The youth program is for individuals under the age of 18 who are living with a serious mental illness or who are classified as being emotionally disturbed. Mental health treatment can be provided in a community setting, at home, or through the school. The adult program is for individuals age 18 and older who are diagnosed with dual diagnosis or serious mental illness. Clients have access to psychiatric evaluations, medication management, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, case management services, employment and education assistance, and more.
