About Atlanta Mission – Fuqua Hall – Atlanta
Located in Atlanta, Georgia, Atlanta Mission helps by serving individuals who are experiencing homelessness. Some of the causes they address include drug or alcohol abuse, mental health disorders, unemployment and traumatic events. This program helps to meet their basic needs, build trust from their community, and helps to promote long term independence.
“Find Hope” describes their emergency services program. They help their clients by providing nutritious meals, showers, laundry services, and medical care from partners. They also provide clothing for those who need it and MARTA cards for when you need transportation.
They partner with CAPN for PATH services, which include pediatric care, sick visits, and psychiatrist assistance for women and children. Their residents get a safe place to stay and get breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a 24 hour community living team that helps their guests get acclimated to the environment and services.
They also have social workers that are ready to help clients. One of the most important things for them is to help you find Christ during your recovery journey. This can include joining faith based small groups.
“Choose Help” refers to their treatment services specifically. An ambassador will meet with you individually in order to get to know you better and figure out which services suit your needs more. They can connect you with treatment services and related support.
They also offer life skills classes that can teach you valuable lessons that can lift you from the ground and put you on a more solid foundation in your life. They’ll also teach you the importance of responsible living by teaching you about keeping a clean space.
As you progress through treatment, Atlanta Mission can provide you with vocational support where you get training in specific job skills. When you graduate, they will connect you with a job with one of their partners. This allows you to stay stable and move toward an independent and substance free lifestyle.
