Baraga County Memorial Hospital is a full-service health facility located in L’Anse, Michigan. They have a Lifestyle Medicine Department that treats people for substance use disorder (SUD) and alcohol use disorder (AUD) on an outpatient basis.
The team takes a holistic approach to healing. In addition to group therapy, clients will receive advice and treatment for overall health.
The therapists use some conventional methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy which teaches you to think in a positive way to change negative behaviors. However, they also use hypnosis and ketamine therapy in some cases.
The staff here believes in letting your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food. They will teach you how to eat healthily. They offer cooking classes and instruction about the nutritional values of different foods. They even offer knife classes in which you will learn how to chop certain vegetables.
They offer instruction in daily exercise and can tell you the best workout routines for you. They train you in restorative sleep patterns so you will not need substances to aid in rest.
You’ll find this treatment center just outside of the cozy village of L’Anse. It’s along US-41, not far from Bovine and the L’Anse Golf Club.
