About Battered But Not Broken Ministry – Chester
Battered But Not Broken Ministry Rehab is in a secluded corner of Cleveland, Ohio. They’re a faith-based rehab center that stands on the foundation of compassion, spiritual renewal and community for women who were incarcerated from alcohol or drug abuse. This facility focuses on providing Ohio residents seeking sobriety with a safe space where the futures of broken adults are reimagined and rebuilt.
Battered But Not Broken Ministries believes that recovery isn’t just about overcoming addiction. It’s about rediscovering a person’s identity and purpose through the grace of God. All of their programs infuse faith-based principles as a part of the healing process. They provide weekly support circles, individual mentoring, certified parenting classes, and spiritual counseling to help all of the people who come to them seeking recovery support.
The certified addiction counseling, psycho-rehabilitation counseling, and life-skills training programs are designed to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of addiction. These programs help identify triggers and develop healthy coping mechanisms. They also foster accountability to help reduce the risk of relapse.
Battered But Not Broken Ministries has made it their mission to make recovery accessible to all, which is why they offer all of their services at little or no cost. Their programs are funded by fundraisers, donations and volunteers.
Another of their programs is The House of Magdalene, which is their first home. This home houses 34 women seeking to reunite with their children after incarceration for substance abuse or violent crimes. Battered But Not Broken Ministries now also runs The House of Ruth and Miriam’s House.
Since Battered But Not Broken Ministries only works with women, they also provide certified parenting classes for moms who are trying to reunite with their children. There are weekly support circles and individual mentoring classes offered for mental health and emotional support. Other services include notary services, Narcan distribution, budgeting classes and clothing assistance.
