About Behavioral Health Services – Wasilla
Family Centered Services of Alaska (FCSA) – Wasilla Behavioral Health Services offers mental health and addiction recovery programs for youth and families in Wasilla, Alaska. Specialized programming is available for clients with co-occurring addiction and mental illness. Services include crisis intervention, therapeutic foster care (TFC), outpatient treatment, and aftercare planning and support.
Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC)
Therapeutic foster care (TFC) services are designed for children and youth who may temporarily require more intensive support and greater stability than the family can provide at home. Clients receive medical and mental health assessments and personalized care plans to determine the appropriate level of care and therapeutic setting, such as the adolescent co-occurring treatment (ACT) long-term residential program for teens with addiction and mental illness. Children in residential care receive robust individual, group, and family counseling and age-specific, recovery-focused life-skills training. This prepares youth and their families for successful reintegration into the home, school, and community.
Outpatient
The outpatient programs allow youth to receive personalized care while continuing to live at home. Clinical services encompass multiple levels of care aligned with clients’ evolving needs and include counseling, recovery education, and ancillary services.
Aftercare
Aftercare programs provide complete wraparound support and may include peer coaching, step-down assistance, and referrals for additional medical, mental health, and social service programs.
