About Burrell Behavioral Health – Transitions – Springfield
Burrell Behavioral Health is a dual diagnosis addiction treatment center in Springfield, Missouri. Their services include outpatient, intensive outpatient and inpatient services as well as medicated assisted treatment (MAT). They accept many private insurance plans including Anthem, Optum, United Behavioral Health, HomeStateHealth and AmBetter among others. They also accept Medicare and Medicaid. They offer financial aid and discounts to those in need. They are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
Primarily, clients in this center will be working on a social model of rehabilitation regardless of whether they’re inpatient or outpatient. This includes individual and group therapy as well as support groups and social detox. The staff and other patients create and maintain a sober environment that patients can use as a safe place to recover and change any habits.
If a patient is struggling with opioid addiction then they have the option of enrolling in the MAT program. MAT uses safe alternative medications such as Suboxone or methadone to wean patients off of harmful substances. Opioids create a physical dependency that often makes them hard to quit but with MAT clients can slowly remove that dependency. Once they’re finished with MAT, patients can start the mental recovery process through therapy.
This center has mixed feedback, with some commenting on scheduling and client mix-ups. Clients in need of more medical care for their recovery may want to look elsewhere, but those in need of mental and behavioral help can find what they need at this center.
