Sutter Health – Mills Health Center is located in San Mateo, California. They provide outpatient treatment for people experiencing addiction. They help adults, children, and families. They accept insurance and self-payment.

This program includes intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization services. The PHP option is usually best for people who have moderate or severe mental health problems or co occurring conditions. You’ll spend about five to six hours each day in treatment but you’ll go home every evening.
While you stay at the hospital, you’ll have full access to the same evaluation and diagnostic support that all outpatient clients get. This includes psych evaluations and testing, medication management, and in depth assessments. Other available services include individual and group therapy, psychoeducational sessions and recreational therapy with pets, art and drama.
For many, receiving a prescription for antidepressants or anti anxiety medications while doing the necessary inner work on thoughts, feelings, and triggers can give some people a new perspective to finally route their addiction behaviors. This can be a great way to get the help you need if you don’t require the intensity of a 24 hour program.
