Amistad Health is a faith-based behavioral health and substance abuse facility that offers dedicated programs to teens, adults, and seniors struggling with mental health and addiction in Aranas, Texas. This facility offers medication-assisted treatment and outpatient care.
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) takes a whole-patient approach toward substance use disorder utilizing medication with behavioral therapies. Behavioral therapies include cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy which identify destructive thought patterns and change them to promote a healthier life.
Outpatient care at this facility is founded on group therapy. Participants share their experiences to create a safe supportive environment. The group program at Amistad Health takes place twice a week for eight weeks.
