About Casa Colina Treatment – Waxahachie
Casa Colina Treatment was a luxury alcohol and drug rehab center for men in Waxahachie, Texas. They’re permanently closed now, but they used to offer residential treatment to help clients overcome addictions and find healthier ways to live.
Something that set this facility apart was its peaceful, secluded setting. It was located on more than 200 acres of countryside about 30 minutes from Dallas. This allowed the men to engage in lots of outdoor activities and recreation while they also attended counseling sessions and worked on the clinical side of their recovery.
Men stayed in the program for 90 days. During that time, they participated in treatments that helped to heal their mind, body and spirit. There was a full scale, on site detox center as well as designated spaces for individual, group and family therapy sessions. I like that they also focused on holistic healing techniques, including equine therapy.
In addition to their individual treatment program, they also offered a three day family program to help loved ones find healing, education and support. During this intensive workshop, the counselors shared more about what the program included, how visitation worked and logistics like how to arrange travel.
