Casper – Emergency Service and FirstStep Program in Cambridge, Massachusetts invites people to come to this place when they are suffering from drug addiction and hard times. Treatment from Casper is given in an outpatient setting.

You’ll find that they offer services outside of addiction treatment. Sober housing is provided to help those who need a safe place to focus on recovery and is offered to those without a home. They support senior citizens who are also homeless. Staff is there to support you as you transition between different housing situations.

They separate residences by gender and you can stay at the sober home for about six to nine months depending on your needs. While you’re living at the house, a case manager will work with you to build your relapse prevention skills.

This center is connected to community based support groups to help you connect with others who are in a similar situation. However, their staff has built a reputation for putting the needs of those who have an alcohol use disorder first over those with a drug addiction.
