About CED Fellowship House – Gadsden
Since 1968, CED Fellowship House has been helping adults with physical, emotional or mental disorders due to alcohol overuse. Located in Gadsden, Alabama, CED Fellowship House is a 32-bed residential rehab treatment program for men.
The program provides a homey setting to help you in your recovery and growth. Right after intake and orientation, the staff at CED Fellowship House will focus on your immediate needs. These might be clinical, legal, or medical.
During your stay, you’ll have access to medication assisted therapy, adult education classes, self-help groups, individual and group counseling, job search help and training and substance abuse education. You’ll also have positive mental attitude sessions and live in a space with constant supportive encouragement and supervision. Outside 12 Step groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and other groups are available.
To be considered for a spot in this facility, you must be willing to work full-time if you’re able, be willing to submit to substance screens on a regular basis, and be willing to participate in all program activities and groups. Incarcerated folks are equally considered. But, they don’t accept sex offenders.
The thing I like the most about this facility is that once you are employed, they’ll deduct 30% of your weekly net income for room and board. Instead of paying a flat fee, it is a percentage of your wages. They also provide transportation to and from work.
