Center for Health Care Services’ Northwest Clinic is a mental health and substance abuse treatment clinic in San Antonio, Texas. They help adults through their general (OP) outpatient program.
This is a primary care clinic that also provides support for clients afflicted by addiction or mental illness, with additional services available through other Center for Health Care Services locations.
The Northwest Clinic is unique in that they aren’t a mental health treatment facility. Their services focus on improving and maintaining your physical health through primary care. However, they do offer behavioral health consultation services.
That may seem like a small difference compared to traditional primary care clinics, but I think it’s worth noting because it can be a great starting point for longer term behavioral health treatment. By providing consultations as part of your routine check ups and exams, your care provider may detect symptoms and make referrals sooner.
