Centerstone in Seymore, Indiana, believes in preparing individuals for recovery with evidence-based treatment programs. These programs include outpatient intervention services, support groups, an intensive outpatient program, inpatient detox services and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Each program is unique and caters to adult men and women in the community.

The first step for many at this center is the inpatient detox program. This program is available for teens and adults who need medical supervision to detox from drug or alcohol use. During the detox program, which can last a few days to a few weeks, you’ll receive a medical exam, lab work, and the opportunity to participate in fun leisure activities.

The support groups, in particular, are known to be incredibly helpful at this facility, likely because there are so many on offer. You will meet with and talk to peers who understand your situation at these support groups. In addition, these groups will help you learn coping mechanisms for stressful situations to help you avoid relapse.

If you need something a little more structured but don’t want to join a residential program then you can try enrolling in the intensive outpatient program. This program offers, on average, 10 to 15 hours of weekly treatment, allowing you free time to work and be at home. It also provides structured programming and individualized care plans.

Then there is the MAT program which is an immense help for many and can be for you, too. This program uses FDA-approved medications alongside therapy to help you overcome cravings and withdrawal symptoms. For most people, MAT services can help achieve long-term sobriety.
