Centre Inc operates a low cost halfway house or residential reentry program for adult men in Fargo, North Dakota. This 84 bed transitional facility provides a structured and supportive space where you can rebuild and move forward.

The facility is positioned at the city center 3 miles from downtown Fargo. The Fargo Civic Center and the Plains Art Museum are close by. This might be worth a visit if you’re keen on regional culture. The popular Lindenwood Park is about 3 miles from the facility. This park has picnic shelters, playgrounds and a beautifully landscaped campground. It’s a great place for recreational outings if you’re an outdoorsy type.

This program aims to prepare you for independent living as you reenter the community after incarceration. It’s also a great opportunity to develop your social problem solving skills. You’ll enjoy 24/7 support from staff who genuinely want to help. They’ll teach you accountability and personal responsibility. These are the recipes for healing. A major component of this program is treatment for substance use disorders.

The clinical team uses various proven methods to effect lasting healing. Some of these include cognitive restructuring, motivational enhancement and seeking safety. Participation in AA/NA meetings, vocational training or employment skills groups and community services is a must. They offer educational support as well.

You’ll also attend counseling, cultural diversity workshops and life skill sessions. The latter teaches you skills like parenting, money management and wellness. It’s not all about intensive programming though. You’ll have time for recreation and leisure activities as well.

The importance of family and faith-based relations in holistic recovery is highly emphasized. Drug testing, substance use aftercare and case management are other major components of the program. Your case manager will assist you in obtaining a job and locating appropriate housing. You’ll leave this facility prepared to handle your responsibilities in the community.

The length of stays depends on how fast you complete your individualized treatment plan as this determines your progress towards reintegration. You may also be discharged upon successfully completing your court ordered sentence.
