The facility is situated in West Ashley, a suburban area known for its historic charm and natural beauty. The area is calm and residential with many nearby attractions enhancing its beauty while offering recreational benefits.
The program is individualized and rooted in 12 steps with a minimum stay of 90 days. This includes a week orientation or probation period and eleven weeks of inpatient residential care. During this period, you’ll attend 12-Step Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and participate in intense 12-Step work and AM & PM devotions. These meetings foster a sense of belonging and community support and help you build strong support networks. You’ll learn an easy and effective way to work through the 12 steps. You’ll earn a privileged status that gives you more freedom on site as you achieve exemplary recovery milestones.
You’ll enjoy the support and encouragement of peers and staff’s guidance. What I think you’ll especially enjoy about this program is that it integrates many recreational and fun activities. Residents enjoy frequent trips to Broadway shows, concerts, and movies as well as gardens and petting zoos. This aims to ensure you have a great time in recovery at no extra cost. Weekly visits from loved ones are supported. This enables the family to navigate recovery as a single unit. Additional time may be granted for inpatient recovery if necessary.
Residents who complete up to 120 days of inpatient recovery are eligible for the sober living program. This aims to equip you with independent living skills that facilitate smooth reentry into the community. You’ll learn personal responsibility and accountability among a thriving and supportive community of peers. You’re encouraged to seek employment and attend external AA meetings to build the confidence necessary to maintain sobriety. You’re mandated to regularly check-ins with staff, attend meetings onsite and submit work hours. This fosters accountability. Most residents elect to remain in the community and help newcomers while working or attending college upon completing the program. Some join the facility as staff.
