About Childrens Place at HomeSafe – Lake Worth Beach

Children’s Place at HomeSafe is in Lake Worth, Florida offers private treatment for alcohol and substance abuse, with or without comorbidities. They provide a lot of programs focused on preventative care. Here, you can find age specific groups right from infancy. There is a program that works with a developmental support specialist and assesses for any developmental or intellectual disabilities.

There is a program called “Homesafe” which works with Children’s Services Council to provide a central referral service for families and children under five. Homesafe screens and assesses children for different developmental disorders and screens the parents for postpartum depression, and refer at-risk clients to appropriate services.

Homesafe is also the entry point to the Healthy Beginnings: Growing Smart Program. This is an ongoing assessment for children under two for developmental disorders. They have an age-appropriate intervention service that identifies any concerns and provides activities to work on including communication, gross and fine motor skills, problem-solving and personal-social skills.

There are other residential treatments for children experiencing mental health disturbances. These have staff ready and trained to help in crisis and build the child’s skills to cope in the world.

The group homes here provide treatment services that include therapy sessions, problem-solving, conflict resolution, vocational skills, independent living skills, nursing services, and psychiatric assessments. Living at these group homes is for anyone seven to 17 who has a mental health diagnosis that causes significant behavioral and functional limitations. They provide referrals to other outside services like substance and alcohol addiction programs. These are covered for anyone on Medicaid.

SafetyNet is a program run through this facility’s Family Violence Prevention Services and helps women and children who are victims of domestic violence. They provide intensive treatment which gives the people living there a breadth of skills, social resources, and support. Intervention services are a part of this program.

The groups are age specific, meaning that younger children, teens, and adults all have groups to support their individual needs. They even offer legal services to help with any legal troubles that may be going on. Each person is also matched up with a case-worker who helps them with anything from basic needs to filing taxes. There is free childcare, free meals for children, and free transportation to attend these group sessions.
