Cipriano & Johnson Counseling offers CARF accredited outpatient treatment for substance use and co-occurring disorders. The office is located on Baymeadows Road in Jacksonville, Florida. They offer intensive outpatient programs (IOP), driver safety assessments for DUI, court assessments and alcohol and drug assessments. They also offer medication assisted treatment (MAT). Payment shouldn’t be an obstacle to treatment, since they accept all major commercial insurance, and they’ll work with your insurance even if they’re an out of network provider.

The IOP at the Baymeadows Road location is a coed program that meets five days per week from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. You’ll attend a minimum of three days per week. The IOP runs for about 30 sessions after which you’ll have aftercare meetings.

The philosophy of the program is that substance addiction is a progressive disease that affects the sufferer in mind, body and spirit. Without help the person is powerless against the addiction. The center offers substance use disorder services following the Recovery Dynamics treatment model based on the original 12 Steps. You’ll define your problem and be given a program of action that provides the solution. You’ll work on the first nine steps of the 12 Step model. Each of the counselors here has been trained in the Recovery Dynamics treatment approach.

They also offer specialized counseling for co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They treat women’s issues, codependency and LGBT issues.

The center is a preferred provider for the Intervention Project for Nurses (IPN) and the Professionals Resource Network (PRN). The IPN’s objective is to protect the public while offering support to nurses to maintain their professional license while in treatment for substance use and mental health issues. The PRN is a similar organization for physicians and other workers who have safety sensitive positions.

The Cipriano & Johnson counselors offer extensive evaluation services in addition to substance use and mental health. These include court ordered evaluations, DOT evaluations for commercial motor vehicle drivers and DUI evaluations.
