Community Health Incorporated (CHI) works with both kids and adults facing addiction. In addition to standard outpatient therapy programs, they provide specialized therapeutic foster care (STFC) for kids and teens whose parents cannot provide a safe, healthy environment. Often, kids and teens who enter this program are survivors of abuse or neglect and need help learning to develop trust, secure attachments, and healthy coping mechanisms.
The behavioral health team at the Martin Luther King Clinic consists of several different professionals to help clients address a broad range of needs. Nurses and psychiatrists, for instance, can assist with medication management while mental health counselors provide talk therapy.
