The Community Health and Wellness Center is located in Irving, New York. The center is part of the Seneca Nation Health System. They provide substance use services and prevention services.

I like that their substance use services provide collaboration between your counselors and the prescribing physician and medical providers. The counseling staff will conduct an assessment and from there they will provide a diagnosis. Treatment is available for all ages. Once you have a diagnosis, they’re able to provide referrals for inpatient treatment and halfway houses, if needed.

Aside from counseling, a nice feature I think they have is that they provide special focus on cultural awareness. If you are having any cravings or experiencing withdrawal symptoms, medication assisted treatment is available. Also, if you’ve any licensing issues due to DUI or DWI that require treatment, they are able to provide treatment.

I think a great feature about the prevention services is that the program focuses on youth, family and community education. The goal of the program is to prevent the risk of substance use and suicide. I like that they provide educational training sessions and activities in a group or individual environment. They also have teen intervention services.
