About Community Hlth Awareness Council (CHAC) – Mountain View
Community Health Awareness Council, located in Mountain View, California, is an outpatient community-based mental health agency that focuses on cultural competency and affordable services for children, teens, and adults. They are not an alcohol and drug rehab center, so if addiction is a concern, individuals may need to seek treatment at an addiction treatment center.
The outpatient program begins with an assessment that thoroughly investigates the psychological concerns each client presents. Individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and referral services are provided. Educational programming and training are provided to help families learn about the importance of emotional and social development for their children.
Services may be provided in a clinical setting, in schools, or the community.
Community Health Awareness Council accepts most insurance plans, including Amerigroup, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Magellan, ComPsych, Cigna, Aetna, Beacon, Wellmark, and more. If a person doesn’t have insurance, they may receive treatment at a low cost, or in some cases, for free. Each insurance plan is different, so it is important to contact the insurance provider because out-of-network benefits may vary.
