In New Britain Connecticut, Community Mental Health Affiliates – Intensive Assertive Community Treatment Team offers a 12-bed supervised residential program for adults. The program provides round-the-clock staff support. They take most private insurances such as Anthem, BC or BS Aetna, and United Healthcare in addition to Medicare, Medicaid or Husky, and a number of Medicare Advantage Plans. For clients without insurance, they provide a sliding scale fee.

They are housed in an apartment-style building with three two-bedroom units, three one-bedroom unit and three efficiencies. They also offer ADL assistance such as cooking, cleaning, and socializing as well as personal care. They provide money management and housekeeping along with on-site case management services.
When a patient requires more support than standard outpatient care or case management can offer then they provide intensive case management and outreach. This includes those with serious and persistent mental illness or co-occurring disorders.
