Community Reach Center in Westminster, Colorado, has been around since 1957. It started with a small team of experts from the University of Colorado and was the first in the area to get funding from the Community Mental Health Act. Today they offer outpatient mental health care for adults aged 18 and up, including addiction treatment.

Getting help isn’t always easy, and it definitely takes a lot of courage to take that first step. But they make it simple here. All you need to do is fill out an intake form, and someone will call you to set up your first appointment. They’re open Monday through Friday, and on Wednesday mornings you can walk in without an appointment!

There’s no need to worry about how you’ll pay for treatment. They accept Medicaid and work with a few insurance providers. For clients who don’t have insurance they offer a sliding scale fee.
Outpatient treatment can be a great option if you want to get help while still maintaining your daily routine. It lets you work on your recovery without having to put your life on hold. With in person and virtual options, they’ve designed therapy to meet you where you are in recovery.
Not every addiction treatment center offers medical services, but they do here. Their team includes doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses and medical assistants who focus on your health while you work on recovery. Their peer support means you won’t have to go through recovery by yourself. Their peer team consists of people who’ve faced similar challenges, so they understand your experience. They’re available to guide you with coaching and mentoring, offering practical support. You can also join Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) and Whole Health Action Planning (WHAM). WRAP helps you spot your triggers and build coping strategies, while WHAM focuses on balancing all parts of your life, not just recovery.
