Compass Health Network – SW Missouri Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center

Temporarily closed, the Compass Health Network Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center in El Dorado Springs, Southwest Missouri used to offer mental health support for clients of all ages. They also provided care for co-occurring conditions, including substance use disorder (SUD). Payment options included Medicaid, goodwill estimates and sliding scale fees.

Clients receiving psychiatric care here would have been assessed by a highly trained professional to establish their medication needs. They may have come out the other side of such an assessment with a medication regimen if it was deemed appropriate.

Other psychiatric support provided here included medication education covering how they might affect individuals’ behavioral health, as well as ongoing monitoring and prescriptions.

While this particular center might have primarily provided mental health services, the team could also connect clients to needed addiction treatment services. This was usually done within the various existing points of care available through the Compass Health Network.

On referral, clients would typically begin their recovery journey with a comprehensive assessment of their situation. From this, the team was able to get a bigger picture outlook on clients’ needs and preferences to better tailor their individualized treatment plan.

Since addiction isn’t one-size-fits-all, these plans helped deliver the unique care clients needed for their addiction. While varied, they may have included a mixture of group, individual, co-dependent, and family counseling services.

Care was integrated, and also featured peer support, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). MAT and other services were also offered to individuals with concurrent disorders and mental health conditions.
