Comprehensive Healthcare provides behavioral healthcare services for kids, adults, families, and seniors at locations throughout Washington. At their Walla Walla location, they specialize in outpatient treatments, including addiction specific care. You don’t need an appointment and they accept walk ins every weekday morning. They’re in network with most private insurance providers and offer a sliding fee discount program to help you pay for your services.
I like that this facility offers a range of services based on where you’re at in your recovery journey. After they assess your needs, your care team might recommend individual or group therapy, medication management, peer services, or other resources to help you break your addiction to drugs and alcohol. They also offer 24 crisis response and stabilization, as well as day support services.
A unique feature of this facility is that they work with local community providers to make sure clients receive complete, wraparound support. One example is their Housing and Recovery Peer Services, which is sometimes called HARPS. This is a contract that allows them to help people find housing after they’ve been hospitalized for a mental health issue or a substance use disorder.
One former client calls this program the best thing that’s happened to her in the 12 years they’ve lived in Walla Walla. She reflects that the team saw her at rock bottom and helped build her up to where she is today. However, several clients have noted issues with scheduling and coordinating care.
