Consejo Counseling & Referral Service – Lake City

Consejo Counseling & Referral Service is a drug and alcohol rehab facility located in Seattle, Washington. They treat people with substance use disorder and alcohol use disorder on an outpatient basis and have culturally and linguistically relevant programs. They work with clients in the justice system as well.

The staff will give you a full assessment for substance use disorder when you come in for treatment. This will include a psychiatric evaluation and a urine test. If your needs require inpatient care they can offer a referral.

Otherwise, you will have outpatient treatment here that is tailored to your needs. You will be assigned a case manager who will follow your progress throughout your treatment. You will be treated with group and individual therapy. Your loved ones may be invited in for family therapy if the staff thinks it is necessary.

There are several different treatment methods they may use. They offer trauma informed therapy for people who started using substances due to an upsetting event or past abuse. People with addiction issues are often treated with some form of behavioral therapy which teaches you to look at your life differently in order to make better choices.

Group therapy will give you a chance to talk to other people who are also in recovery. The center organizes group social activities so you can get into the habit of having fun without drugs or alcohol.

If you have been convicted of Driving Under the Influence, part of your sentence may include drug and alcohol classes. This facility offers classes that will fulfill court requirements.
