About Counseling Services – Lancaster, South Carolina
Counseling Services has been providing substance use disorder treatment to the community of Lancaster, South Carolina, for 50 years. They help clients overcome their addiction issues through their prevention, treatment and recovery services. The facility has accreditation from The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission and is partnered with the SC Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services. The treatment programs available at Counseling Services include the traditional outpatient program, the intensive outpatient program (IOP), medication assisted treatment (MAT) and the alcohol and drug safety action program (ADSAP). ADSAP focuses on educating and treating individuals who’ve been convicted of driving under the influence, with the goal of reducing alcohol and drug related incidents.
Some of the treatment approaches that staff members will use in these programs are counseling, crisis intervention and recovery management. The types of counseling available are individual, group and family therapy. Through your counseling sessions, you’ll learn different skills and tools to help you avoid relapse. The staff is trained to treat addictions to opioids, alcohol, illicit substances and gambling.

They have virtual meetings where they help individuals maintain long term recovery by providing education, advocacy and recovery support services.
