About Crestwyn Behavioral Health Hospital – Memphis
Memphis, Tennessee, is known for blues and Elvis, but it’s also the home of Crestwyn Behavioral Health Hospital. The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment for adults. Treatment includes dual diagnosis, where someone has both a mental health disorder and substance use issues. There’s also a specific program for seniors. Paying for care is simple because the hospital accepts Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, and multiple private insurance plans.
Inpatient treatment at Crestwyn may include medically monitored detox, after which clients shift to individual, group, and family therapy to address the causes of substance use and mental health concerns. The hospital also provides mental health medication if needed. Group sessions may focus on the 12 step methods, healthy relationships, goal setting, and other recovery skills.
Crestwyn also has a partial hospitalization program (PHP) which meets from 9 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday for up to four weeks. There is also an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that meets three days a week, three hours per session, for up to four weeks. Either of these can be a good transition from inpatient care into independent living.
