About Crossroads Recovery Centers – La Habra
Located in Portland, Maine, is the Crossroads Back Cove Women’s Residential Treatment Facility. This is the center where women can live as they work through addiction and coexisting eating disorder challenges they’re facing.
Taking an integrative approach to recovery, your behavioral health struggles will not be treated in isolation. Instead, you’ll work with a team that addresses the different facets of your health struggles so that the food related challenges you’re facing are not made worse by the the dedicated substance abuse services you’re receiving.
The women who receive services here come from all backgrounds and many have experienced traumatic incidents in their lives that have contributed to their addiction or food related challenges.
As a result, trauma informed care and personalized treatment plans help guide you in the way you need. You’ll receive compassionate support, continued encouragement, and empowerment so that you’ll have skills you can apply in your everyday life once you leave the program.
The Back Cove Women’s Residential Center operates out of a residential home in a quiet community in Portland. This facility has space for 10 women, offering an intimate atmosphere where you can work through your recovery needs.
There are shared bedrooms throughout the home, an attic space where yoga and mindfulness activities take place, and comfortable communal living areas where group counseling sessions and leisurely activities among other residents occur.
It’s a calming home that allows you to focus fully on your recovery. As a residential home, you’re not in a clinical setting, so the intimidation many women in recovery often face when working with healthcare providers is stripped away.
