About Cumberland County Guidance Center – Millville
Cumberland County Guidance Center in Millville, New Jersey, provides various services to individuals and families who need mental health care in the local community. They have provided treatment for individuals and families for more than 60 years. They have over 175 professional staff working for the nonprofit organization, providing outpatient care, family support, crisis intervention, and adult day programs that offer treatment for substance use disorders. Certified alcohol and drug counselors and licensed clinical social workers help design a customized treatment program for each client based on a comprehensive evaluation.
Your program may include cognitive behavioral therapy and other behavioral health strategies that address your thought processes and help you learn healthier coping mechanisms. The integrated mental health care and substance use disorder treatment includes education and intervention to address your specific needs. You can attend Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings on site and can receive transportation to and from the Adult Day program.
You must be 18 years or older and a resident of Cumberland County living with a serious mental health diagnosis to be eligible for care. The Mental Health Justice program works with adults who are involved with the criminal justice system to help provide support and links to the community to decrease relapse risk. This includes Case Management Services to help provide you with support and advocacy in the community, while on probation and in the court system.
Your integrated Case Management Services can include crisis intervention, psychoeducation, service planning and help with basic daily living necessities. Your program may also include supported employment services to help you get established in the job market and increase your potential for job retention. When necessary, you may also have access to intensive Family Support Services that help improve the overall function of your family and foster an improved quality of life.
