Dean & Associates is an outpatient mental health clinic for clients of all ages in Sioux City, Iowa. They’re in the southeastern area of the city, just across the street from the Southern Hills Mall near I-29 and US 20/75 so they’re convenient and easy to access.

This outpatient clinic treats nearly any mental health condition including substance use disorder. They mostly use individual therapy here rather than group therapy. In your therapy sessions you’ll work one on one with a specialist who can help you understand your addiction and work through the challenges of recovery and the issues that fueled your addiction. They can help with alcohol addiction as well as drug addiction.

For a lot of people their relationships with family and loved ones is a powerful part of their recovery and this treatment center can help you build that support system too. They offer therapy for couples and families. This will not only help your loved ones better understand your condition but it will strengthen your relationships too.

There are a few things about this clinic that I think are especially helpful to note. First of all they can be a great option for dual diagnosis care since they treat not only substance abuse but other mental health conditions too. Second they treat adults as well as kids and adolescents so if you have a child who’s showing signs of addiction they can help to address the issue early. They even have specialized geriatric mental health care. Finally they have a sliding fee scale which means that you pay what you can afford and they won’t turn away any patient for being unable to pay.

Overall the clients have positive feedback about this clinic. They say that the therapists are helpful and knowledgeable. I did notice some clients saying that the front desk staff isn’t very friendly though.
