About DOT Caring Centers – Bay City
DOT Caring Centers was located in Bay City, Michigan. They had outpatient and residential treatment programs for people battling addiction. They’re closed now but their main goal was to provide the highest quality of care for their patients to cope with life’s challenges and responsibilities.
Their founders started this treatment center after experiencing their own problems with addiction and they wanted to use those experiences to help others in the same situation. They believed drug or alcohol addiction is a progressive disease and if left untreated can lead to several problems and deteriorate your life.
Here they used a holistic approach with professional, comprehensive treatment, and tried to implement a stable support system during recovery while establishing a higher power concept with each patient.
Their outpatient programs consisted of individual and group therapy dealing with mental health needs, social skills, case management, building accountability and responsibility, plus incorporating a biopsychosocial component to your wellness and recovery journey.
They also provided medication assisted treatment or MAT which was a Suboxone treatment plan for opioid addiction. They had a recovery coach program for general support during your path to recovery. It could have been gender specific if you wanted it to be as well.
Their mental health services focused on help with depression, anxiety, stress, panic disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They also helped with eating disorders, family violence and sexual addiction issues.
Their residential treatment program was about letting the patients get out of the daily grind of life and focus on themselves and their recovery and find a way to long term stability. They had a detox process to physically stabilize you and monitor your vital signs. Then, they would provide referrals to step down service or next level care.
There was also a high and low intensity residential treatment program with 24 hour staff assistance and three hours of daily group therapy, plus they had individual therapy sessions based on your needs.
They had morning meditation sessions and support with recovery coaching and planning for aftercare treatment.
