The New Path Treatment Center is affiliated with the EAC Network. The center is located in Hempstead, New York. They provide outpatient substance abuse disorder treatment. I like that they accept commercial insurance plans, Medicaid and GHI Medicare. You do not need to be worried if you are uninsured, as they also provide a sliding fee scale.
What stood out for me about the program is that they also assist your family and/or significant other. They assist them by helping them cope with your recovery challenges and the impact it has on their lives. They also offer an array of specialty groups such as men’s group, women’s group, anger management and relapse prevention.
All the treatment plans they provide are tailored to each individual. They create the plans to address your specific needs. Your plan may include psychiatric services and individual or group counseling.
A feature I like is that they address the contributing factors to substance abuse. Some of those factors may be mental health, legal issues, employment, physical health or family systems to just name a few. The length of the program will vary by person. The average length of time on the program is 6-12 months.
