Located within Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport, New York, Quannacut Inpatient Addiction Services is an inpatient addiction treatment center for adults. Here, clients can safely detox and participate in recovery services in a secure, supervised environment. You can pay for the cost of your care through private insurance, self payment, Medicaid, and Medicare. They also offer financial assistance.

One thing I like about this facility is that they have both clinicians and holistic healers on their team. Clients work with board certified physicians, psychiatrists, and substance abuse counselors but also dieticians and therapists who specialize in creative arts. This provides a well rounded approach that brings healing from the inside out. In fact, the word “Quannacut” is the Native American word for “rainbow” which symbolizes the new life that this program brings.

While in inpatient treatment, clients will participate in different services depending on their needs. Some will need to detox with the help of medication before they can do anything else. Others will meet with a counselor to discuss their addictions and other disorders they might be struggling with, like depression or anxiety. All treatments incorporate some form of addiction education, group and individual therapy, life skills training, mindfulness practice, and discharge planning.

One past client said that the staff members were exceptional and the accommodations were nice, although they felt their 28 day stay was a little long. Another said that once their treatment was complete, they were thankful to go home and enjoy their new sober lifestyle.
