Among these intensive services are structured substance use recovery groups for children and teens. You’ll learn about the implications of substance use and how you can take back control over your life.

Along with addiction education, there’s also intensive counseling to help children identify why they’ve turned to substance use. Most importantly, children will learn strategies and skills to help them better deal with emotional hurdles and challenges when they arise.

Children are supported beyond just receiving quality mental health care. There’s a strong focus on family unity and structured, productive living. Ways you’ll see these themes supported include before- and after-school services.

Children in the residential program will also keep up with their academics through Edgewood’s private school program. Taught by licensed teachers, Edgewood Community School works with kids in 9th to 12th grade and weaves therapeutic care into the academic curriculum.

There are also a host of social services that children and families can get connected with as well to improve their lives. This might include educational resources and support through the Edgewood Food Bank.
