About Envision Wellness – Kenmore
Northwest Community Mental Health Center was rebranded in 2020 and is now Envision Wellness WNY. They provide outpatient and community based behavioral health treatment and support to those adults who are over 18 years of age and struggling with behavioral, psychiatric, emotional or interpersonal issues in their lives. Services are offered in English and Spanish on Monday to Thursday from 9am to 8pm and Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Envision Wellness is one of the New York State Office’s mental health licensed clinics that provides a range of outpatient behavioral health services in Buffalo, New York. Located along the shores of Lake Erie, Buffalo is known for its rich history, cultural attractions and iconic architecture. The facility is dedicated to nurturing and sustaining relationships among individuals and community stakeholders.
They provide evidence-based treatments that focus on the whole person to improve your quality of life and as you engage as an active member of the community. They began providing services to people who needed stability and recovery skills nearly 50 years ago.
The Wellness Community offers a unique day treatment program when you experience difficulties with mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. Your program will typically include general therapy that addresses your symptoms and negative habits while helping you build healthy life skills that support independent living.
You typically participate in therapy several days each week including several group sessions depending on your diagnosis and your needs. Within a group therapy format you learn that focusing on harm reduction for mental health and substance use disorder helps reduce symptoms and improve your treatment success.
The program takes most health insurance providers including Medicaid and Medicare. They will verify your insurance before starting treatment and if your policy does not pay for certain programs they can offer a sliding scale fee option. If you don’t have insurance they can offer other assistance as well. You must bring a photo ID and proof of insurance to your first appointment.
