Fairwinds Nantuckets Counseling Center Is a behavioral Health facility located in Nantucket, Massachusetts. This is an outpatient facility that provides treatment for people with substance use disorder and alcohol use disorder. They have a sliding fee scale for treatment.
This facility provides several different services to people struggling with addiction issues. They offer standard outpatient services in which you will come in once or twice a week for therapy. They offer individual sessions that are customed specifically to your needs and group sessions that focus on different areas of substance use recovery.
I think it’s neat that they offer in-home counseling to kids who have substance use issues and other mental health conditions. They use a family-centered model in which they will teach parents how to deal with substance use and other behavioral problems.
They also offer services to clients in the justice system. If you have been convicted of driving under the influence then you will be required to take certain classes. They provide the Massachusetts Impaired Driving Class 16-week program for first-time offenders as well as the year-long Second Offender Aftercare program.
In some cases, a court may suspect that drugs had a role in a crime a person committed. This facility can provide you with an assessment that will help determine if this is true.
Some people who are recovering from opioid use disorder need medications to help ease the pain of the withdrawal. People who suffer with dual diagnosis will often need medication for psychiatric conditions. They have a fully trained medical staff that can prescribe medications if they are necessary to your recovery.
