Faith City Family Shelter

Faith City Mission is a nonprofit organization in Amarillo, Texas. Their gender separate residential programs welcome adult men and women. You’ll benefit from faith based addiction treatment and basic needs support.

Their 12 month discipleship programs help you build a relationship with God as you restore your life. You’ll participate in 12 Step meetings, like AA and NA with guidance from a personal sponsor. Their program emphasizes Biblical support, offering weekly Bible Study, Wednesday Chapel, and Sunday church services. You’ll also have a personal mentor and attend educational classes to learn more about addiction and sobriety.

One key feature I noticed is they provide you with multiple additional services. Many of their clients are people without homes and core necessities. They offer food, shelter, and clothing. You’ll also have assistance replacing your social security card and driver’s license. Lastly, they link you with off site dental and medical care. These essential services can help you get back on your feet as you work towards long term recovery.
