Family and Center Services of Silicon Valley is a facility located in Palo Alto, California. They offer a multitude of services for adults and children who are struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Their substance abuse treatment services offer outpatient treatment, prevention services for children, and a program for individuals who are currently incarcerated.

For those seeking treatment, they offer flexibility by offering outpatient treatment to help you keep your day to day commitments and still be able to focus on your journey of healing. Outpatient treatment is throughout the week with both individual and group counseling. An individualized treatment plan will be created to help you attain goals and identify areas where you can improve. Holistic therapeutic approaches will be incorporated to help you develop healthier coping skills, regulate emotions, and manage stress.

Their STEP program is specifically designed for individuals that are incarcerated. The program offers recovery support services, counseling, assessments, and post release planning. This program reduces the chance of reentry back into the system with medication management, referral services, and continuation of treatment.

The prevention programs are both community, school, and family focused by providing a safe space for teens and adolescents who are at risk of substance abuse and youth who identify in the LGBTQIA+ community.

This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Outpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
