Family Health Centers of San Diego offers two location options for treatment. The one we’ll be looking at here is their outpatient center on 30th Street. This center helps people who’ve been dealing with drug and alcohol addictions and even co-occurring mental health issues. They integrate behavioral health into their methods in order to reach you from every angle and help you recover. They offer medication assisted treatment as a way of making sure you detox safely and with fewer cravings and withdrawal symptoms.

This outpatient program offers a variety of services to make your visit worthwhile. They do one on one counseling, which is really a pillar in the recovery process. Individual therapy is so important because it gives you a chance to speak to a professional about your addictive habits and past traumas that may have influenced your path to where you are now. They also provide case management, educational services, HIV services and support groups. Their Prodigy Project conducts free HIV and STI testing. They also have a Syringe Services Program to ensure that drug users don’t get infected with dirty needles.
