About Franciscan Health Indianapolis – Indianapolis
Franciscan Health Alliance is a consortium of faith based hospitals serving Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. Since its inception 145 years ago, the nonprofit has adhered to its mission of delivering compassionate care to those in need. At Franciscan Health Indianapolis, located between Southport and Greenwood, you can receive general outpatient (OP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) care for alcohol and drug addiction.
In 2024, Healthgrades deemed Franciscan Health Indianapolis the state’s best provider in several practice areas, including cardiology, pulmonary, stroke, and critical care. Truven Health Analytics named it one of the country’s top 100 hospitals overall and Healthgrades named it one of the nation’s 250 best hospitals. The facility has also achieved recognition from the International Cardio-Oncology Society, CareChex Awards by Quantros, and more.
Franciscan Health’s alcohol and drug rehab programs are open to adults and teens facing addiction or dual diagnosis. The partial-day IOP program may be a good fit for those who have completed or don’t need residential or inpatient care but require a higher level of treatment than general OP services provide. Because it is a partial day program, it may be easier to fit in with your work or school schedule.
The hospital’s addiction treatment programs consist of medication assisted therapy (MAT), individual counseling, and group counseling, as well as occupational and recreational therapy. All of these services are administered by a multidisciplinary team that includes registered nurses, social workers, and therapists with various specialties.
That’s important because it indicates Franciscan Health’s ability to support you in a myriad of ways. They also offer educational lectures on mental health and substance use topics, which may help empower you to take charge of your health.
