About Gateway Foundation – Chicago, Illinois

The Gateway Foundation in central Chicago, Illinois, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing care to anyone struggling with alcoholism or substance use disorder (SUD). They offer an extensive array of inpatient and outpatient care programs for those dealing with SUD as well as an outpatient program for alcoholism. They also have a significant network of care facilities and professional staff, giving them the capacity and flexibility to meet the needs of almost anyone looking for treatment.

The Gateway Foundation has several options for people who need intensive help with the initial phases of their recovery. They offer residential rehab and a partial hospitalization program (PHP) where they provide help with every step, including medication assisted treatment (MAT) to provide safe and comfortable detoxification when needed. Because some people need the flexibility of outpatient care to balance their responsibilities, they also offer an intensive outpatient rehab program. In all of these settings, the foundation uses individual and group therapy, relapse prevention planning and cognitive behavioral therapy to holistically address all problems associated with addiction.

If you’ve already been through the most intensive phases of recovery, the Gavin Foundation also offers services for aftercare, regular outpatient care and referrals to sober living environments. These programs all help set people up for long term sobriety.
