About Geisinger Marworth – Dalton
Geisinger Marworth, an entity of Geisinger Health System, is an alcohol and substance use treatment facility located in the rolling hills of Waverly in Northeastern, Pennsylvania. They provide inpatient and outpatient (OP) programs for adult men and women.
Their inpatient programs are highly specialized and take into consideration each person’s unique addiction needs, when developing treatment plans. These include medical detox, individual and group therapy, educational therapy and family programs. Medical and addiction professionals utilize a broad range of treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), expressive and recreational therapy, medication assisted treatment (MAT), and holistic treatments such as acupuncture to support clients in the earliest stages of recovery.
At Geisinger Marworth they understand that men and women within the healthcare and uniformed professions have unique alcohol and substance abuse disorder treatment needs. Recognizing this need, they created two specialized programs for these individuals. In addition to individual and group therapy, they offer programs that focus on work related stress that may play a part in unhealthy coping mechanisms and re-entry planning for the transition back to work and home.
Their outpatient programs include intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and general outpatient therapy. For those who need a high level of care, but are not able to participate in inpatient programs due to work or family responsibilities, IOP offers flexibility in scheduling. Geisinger Marworth offers IOP sessions in the daytime and evening where individuals attend four times per week for approximately four weeks. Individuals who have completed inpatient or IOP can continue attending outpatient counseling where they receive ongoing relapse prevention support.
They take many commercial insurance plans, are licensed by the state of Pennsylvania, and accredited by The Joint Commission. Newsweek named them the #1 treatment center in Pennsylvania for 2024.
