They comprise six different homes. This main facility is situated within a central urban area of San Bernardino just a mile from Seccombe Lake Park. The location is busy and developed with easy transportation access to nearby Rialto, Redlands and Fontana.
The facility provides a safe, nurturing and drug free setting where healing can occur without distraction. In this space, you’ll gain tools that facilitate lasting recovery through healthy social interactions with peers along with individual counseling and group therapy as well as educational programming. Therapy may use evidence-based models like cognitive behavioral therapy to help you develop strong coping strategies and prevent relapse. They may also help you handle behavioral or psychiatric issues that may occur alongside substance use.
The program emphasizes family involvement and supports weekend family visits plus family group sessions that help the whole family heal together as a unit. This also strengthens your support network.
The length of stay may range from 30 to 90 days depending on your personalized needs and progress. The staff will link you to county or community services that support your healing journey as you prepare to reenter the community. These services may include family reunification, transitional or permanent housing and vocational or job placement services.
They may also connect you to medical and dental care, mental healthcare and county services that help with justice system navigation and CFS/CPS cases. Some residents graduate from this program and transition to VARP’s sober living program for women.
