The services are free for qualifying individuals.

The goal of this program is to give you the resources you need to become sober and self sufficient. Up to 12 people can participate at a time, and they’ll work closely with you to understand your specific needs. If they think outpatient counseling services will help you, they’ll refer you to individual and group sessions through The Counseling Center at Sam Houston State University.

The foundation of this program is a reliance on God. As you learn how to find safety and support through the Bible, you can speak with spiritual counselors about any underlying conditions you’re facing, such as depression or anxiety. They’ll help you understand how you can overcome those conditions by strengthening your faith and turning to the scriptures for support.

One interesting aspect of this facility is that the HOPE House isn’t the only available program here. People can also visit the facility to find food, clothing, and temporary shelter. This speaks to the heart of the team and their willingness to support the basic needs of their community. It also shows that they consider addiction recovery to be as necessary as everyday essentials, including food and housing.
